7-2010 Please be aware of new schedule changes. New intermediate class scheduled on Mon, Tues, Wed. Invite only. Academy closure: Sunday, July 4th. 6-2010 On May 27th, me and a fellow student, had the fortunate opportunity to attend the Rickson Gracie Seminar in Sacramento. My friend Brandon Hetzler hosted the seminar and was able to reserve us a couple of spots. Brandon started the seminar with an old Japanes saying: "In Japan they say that a great master comes once every 100 years. Today, we have that great master........... GrandMaster Rickson Gracie!" As of today, I have accumalated 19 hours of training with Grandmaster Rickson Gracie over the years. I find myself very lucky to have learned from the source. Its an honor to pass on his teachings! If you ever have the chance to learn from him, I highly recommend it. 4-27-2010 Classes on Saturday & Sunday are going to be held as previously scheduled. 4:45-5:45pm.
4-20-2010 We had several athletes compete at the last local event on April 17th. Minh Bui placed 2nd in the no gi division. He managed to submit one of his opponent's by triangle. Good work. 4-14-2010 Fusen would like to congratulate Brandon Hetzler on his performance at the Pans. Brandon submitted all three of his opponents to take the Gold in the brown belt division! He was also awarded "the Black Belt" personally from Rickson Gracie himself! What an accomplishment! Brandon and Scott run the Ground Works Jiu Jitsu Academy in Sacramento, CA. 4-12-2010 Congratulations to Buck Wykes and Justin Casey for competing in the 2010 Pan Ams. Buck had a touph fight in his first match. Justin took 3rd out of 68 in his division. Good job guys!
