Joe Cartagena (owner & head coach)- Joe Cartagena has been a student of the martial arts since 1994. In 1998, he started Jiu Jitsu with a Gracie Academy affiliate and at Champion Martial Arts Academy in Colorado. In search of the ultimate expression of Jiu Jitsu; in 2003 Joe started over as a white belt with the Rickson Gracie Association. Currently holding rank of the purple belt; Joe continues to study & train closely with multiple World Champion Kron Gracie at the Rickson Gracie Academy. Striving to "plant the seed" of Rickson Gracie's teachings in Aurora, Colorado; quality Jiu Jitsu instruction is his primary goal.
